The BEST Apple Crisp

Good Morning sweet friends and happy Tuesday! I hope that you are having a fantastic week so far and that you are soaking in as much of this glorious fall season as I am. I know we are still pretty early in the season but it's my most favorite time of year and I want to absorb as much of it as I can. I also want to say how sorry I am that I have been M.I.A I started a new position at work and I have been dealing with some personal struggles with my anxiety. You can read more about that here. I am trying to find a new balance so that I can still do the things I love with this new schedule. This blog and you are so very important to me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for still coming back and reading this. I promise that blogs will be back to 3 times a week here soon. In the meantime I have been cooking and trying new recipes but I keep coming back to the classics like apple crisp. I had some sweet friends over last week and I decided to whip this tasty desert up. This is a perfect fall treat and so so sooooooo easy!

Apple Crisp :

For the Crumble Topping:
1/2 cup Flour

1/2 cup Old fashioned rolled oats

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp. ground Cinnamon

dash of salt

1/3 cup unsalted butter diced (it needs to be very cold!!)

For the Apple Filling:
3-4 large apple I used Haralson for this one but any apple could work I love to use Granny Smith ones too! Also I don't peel my apples but you definitely can!

3 Tbsp. of melted butter

2 Tbsp. of flour

3Tbsp milk

1/2 tsp. of Vanilla extract

1/4 cup Brown Sugar

1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

dash of Salt

1. Preheat your oven t 375 degrees f.

2. In a medium bowl combine all your crumble ingredients and mix with a fork until it resembles small crumbles. refrigerate while you prepare the apple mixture.

3. For apple filling: In a small bowl combine melted butter and flour until well blended.

4. Add milk and vanilla stir well.

5. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Combine melted butter and flour mixture until well blended.

6. Pour into a baking dish and spread evenly.

7. Top with crumble mixture evenly and bake for 30-35 minutes.

8. Allow for time to cool and serve with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream.

I hope you enjoy this treat as much as I do!! Apple, Cinnamon, and Butter go hand in hand if you ask me and are truly a fall staple.

Have the BEST day!

Fall Favorites: Shoes

Hello Sweet Friends and Happy Wednesday! I am so pumped we are half way through the week! Can you believe summer is almost over and Fall is practically on our door step! I love the fall more then any other season and so I am pumped for it to be so close!

One this about the season's is all the fashion. Fall is the best time for cute booties, boots, rich leathers, suede, and animal prints. I love shoes, I mean what girl doesn't am I right? I thought it would be fun to put together some fall favorites and share them with you all!

Fall Favorites Shoes

I am loving the rich colors this season, and especially all the suede that I have been seeing.

I love these Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots but the $798 price tag is not realistic. However these Ivanka Trump look exactly like the Stuart Weitzman boots but are a fraction of the cost at $179.95!

I am loving these loafers and the $22 price tag makes my heart so happy.

Old Navy has a bunch of cute options for fall shoes I am loving thesethese, and these.

What are some fall favorites you are looking forward too?

Have the BEST day

August Goals

Hello sweet friends! I hope to find you having a great day today! Life has been great lately and work is busy but I am taking it all in and loving every minute of it. I know I am so late posting this but I want to share my august goals with you today! I love to break my goals down each month instead of trying to make a large list and getting overwhelmed. I think that it helps too with my love of crossing things off list's and accomplishing my goals.

This month I only have a few things I want to focus on. August is the start of my busy and favorite season of the whole year. Can you guys believe September is on our door step and the Holidays are just around the corner!!! I love the fall and all the Holiday season but I also love summer. So I like to keep things light and enjoy the last few weeks of sunshine, swimming pools, and especially the Olympics!

1. Clean out Closet and make room for all my Fall/Winter clothing.

~I don't have a lavish large closet so I have to store clothes in containers when they are out of season. Now I need to switch out my spring/summer clothes for my fall/winter ones!

2. Pay off 2 bills

~ I am pretty good at making sure my fiances are in order, It wasn't always that way but over the last few years I have made a conscious effort to be better at managing my money. Their are 2 bills that I really want to pay completely off so that I am one step closer to being debt free!

3. Plan my first Supper Club

~ You guys probably already know this because I talk about it all the time but I LOVE too cook, Like LOVE it and I love to build community and just spend time with people. So this fall I want to start a monthly supper club where friends can come over and I can cook for them and we can just hang out!

So friends that's it, I know very little but like I said this is the time that I am trying to soak in as much summer as I can before the weather changes and the business of life creeps in!

What are some of your goals for the month of August?

Have the BEST day!

Next

Your probably going to need a great running/ climbing shoe so a cute pair of  Nike tennis shoes are needed. Think climbing trees, mountains, or running from a crazy wild animal your gonna want a good pair of tennis shoes!

And last but certainly not least

If your on a deserted island there are probably some swampy areas, if that's the case I want tall water proof boots to get me through. These are the way to go to help getcha through.
